Default Few questions about drop, spacer, and wheels..

Hi guys, just wanted to know something..

I'm actually on OEM 18" and will drop the car with tein s-tech spring...should i keep the car with 18" like that or put spacer to have a better look?

2nd...if i put spacer and i buy in future aftermarket wheel...do i keep the spacer or i'll need to taking out the spacer?

3rd..what is OFFSET like ->20" TSW Thruxtons - 20x8.5 (25 offset) and 20x10 (35 offset) is the offset mean that it will make the same thing if i add spacer on OEM wheel....i will not need spacer with aftermarket that have a big offset?

Sorry if im not clear, my english sux little bit :S

Hope you guys understand what is my questions...

-With oem offsets... you can definately afford some spacers even with a drop...
-The spacers are as easy to remove as a wheel
-The offset for those 20s are still a bit weak... Go for some 18s or 19....+10 to +20 offset...

-The lower the offset the better...to a certain point... +12 is better then +25
-OEM offset, depending on which version 18 you have is +30F/+33R for 06+ and +30/+30 for 03-05... i dont think you have track wheels

I have the 18s from the Performance model...

But does offset mean "the space'" that the wheel will have to be flush with the body of the car?

Do i will still need spacer with after market wheels? or some wheels are ok to be flush with the body witout spacer?

Just dont wanna spend money on spacer this year, and like next year change my wheels and dont use my spacer anymore...

You might want to read this, especially the spacer FAQ:

This might be useful too:

the only advice i'm going to give you is.. drop your car... then use a tape measure so you can measure to see what size spacer you need... you can always sell your spacers if you get new wheels that don't need them... people on this forum are always looking for them

that's why you'll need to drop first... then measure.. and you're probably not going to get those wheels "flush" but alot of that will depend on your camber
