Default Spring Question

Hey guys im looking into to lowering my Z but I have couple question not sure what brand of spring I want to buy but Im looking for 1 to 1.5 drop. Also if you can chimein with con/pros about buying used springs that were use for the track is this a good idea or not? am looking to spend no more than 250 money is tight right now I have 19x 8.5 and 19x9.5 245 and 275. Thanx I'll apreciate your feedback!

at that level of a drop, plan on also buying a rear camber/toe kit as well to correct the rear alignment. Factor in an alignment as well after the springs are installed

Downside of buying used springs are like the downside to buying used anything else...you may not quite know what you're buying. Springs are inexpensive to start with, so unless you can verify all aspects of what you're getting from a trusted seller, it may pay to just buy them new

i wanted to go as far as i can without getting camber kits or w.e. so i got eibach pros which is one inch all around. with the z once you hit the 1 inch mark you need camber kits. but i took the chance, and my guy at firestone was able to get all my toes and camber within oem...so imo, go with the eibachs

I just installed my eibach pro kit about 4 days ago...gotta tell you...super smooth!! not too low or to high! only issue if you are gona put aftermarket rims you will need a camber kit or else you will have weird noises from the tires...NOT SURE IF ONLY ON THE ROADSTER BECAUSE ITS A LITTLE HEAVIER AND IT WILL SIT LOWER DUE TO THE WIEGHT...if your on stocks..youre ok...heres a pic

not every car reacts the same to lowering...some will be out of spec when only lowered 1/2 inch, others can deal with more lowering - it all depends on the specs you start off with in the first place

Poor idea. You do not know if the springs have 10,000 or 100,000 miles.

$250 is doable. You will not be able to get anything fancy like progressive springs, But budget springs will suit your needs.

Thanks guys you all were very helpfull I think am going to stay within 1/2 inch to 1 inch at the most. and highly consider Eichbac Pro's. Not looking to gain much performance but just to make the car look more like a tuner rather than look like a monster truck lol

Just posting this to provide information for more informed choices. Just because list it, doesn't mean I recommend it

As usuall Adam will tell you what you need to hear, not just what you want to hear. 100% correct.

OP, you do have a number of mild drop option's.

Thanks for this post. It's interesting to see the difference between the Eibach Pro Kit and the Nismo. Glad I went with Eibach.
