Default Can I put 05-08 oem rotors on my 03? (is there a size difference?)

Hey guys, I tried searching brake conversion and stuff but can't find anything that answers my question..

My question is: is there a size difference on the rotors between the years 03-08?

I think I read somewhere once that 03-04 is a certain size, then Nissan made the brakes bigger on the 05-06 Z's and then they got Even bigger in 07-08, is that true?

I want to know because I want bigger rotors on my 03 Z but I can't afford BBK's right now

Thanks guys

Let's start this over from the beginning. The big question is "why do you want a BBK"? Unless you are tracking your car, you certainly don't need them other than for "looks".

If you can't afford a BBK, and decide to purchase the calipers, rotors and pads from an 06-08 350Z, you could probably spend the same money and get the 370Z setup.

Well I was hoping to spend less like maybe $500 on some used 06-08 calipers and get after market slotted and drilled rotors.. :/

I know that I'll get what I paid for, but those 370z brake kit looks like everything is new.. :/ like new calipers when I could possibly save on used calipers lol

then your best bet is a good set of pads, stainless lines, and good fluid

Since you didn't mention budget in your original post, most of us assumed your desire for a BBK meant you knew that BBKs run $2000 - $6000 and more.

As Adam pointed out SS lines = $150; pads = $300; fluid = $20 -- there goes your $500 budget already.

I found the brakes you are looking for in the marketplace. All you have to do is look.

caliper brackets are different, bolts may also be different

unless someone is giving you the setup for free, it's not worth the time, effort or money

Agreed. Yes an 06+ setup is cheaper then a brembo/aftermarket, but isn't near the performance difference to your current setup.
