Default Help: Hotchkis Front swaybar problems!

Ok so any input on this would be appriciated. I have had the swaybars on the car for over a year but I rarely drive the Z. More for autoXing and cruise-ins. Anyways, the swaybar has welded on washers to hold it in place between the mounting brackets. But the swaybar can slide, side to side roughly 1/2 an inch. When the swaybar slides all the way to the drivers side it comes in contact with the under carage and makes a knocking noise.
Shouldn't the swaybar more fixed in place? Do they have that much play? Please help. Do I need to contact hotchkis for a replacement.

This is after I pulled it back over.

Endlinks are good. They are powergrid endlinks. The entire suspension was done at once and has less than 8,000 miles on them. Over half of those are a trip to NC for ZdayZ and few trips to Louisiana.

Is it normal for the swaybar to have play side to side?

they almost all do that we have had to put collars over them to keep them tight... even then they still move some its just because the stops are so far from the bushings..

When you mount the swaybar, make sure you push the bracket/poly block against the retaining ring as much as possible. Do that on both sides and there should be little if any play in the bar. The mounting brackets have extra large holes in them so there is a lot of play for moving them around.

I appriciate everyones input. After better research I found this has long been a problem with Hotchkis swaybars. There is a tread on here starting in 04 that responds to a possible sollution using split collars. https://my350z.com/forum/brakes-and-...y-bar-fix.html

One reason I think they did this is another member in my club said he found Hotchkis makes Heavy Duty billet swaybar brackets with Zerk fitting. I bet on the Z they use the extra spacing.
