Thinking about lowering the Z

Thinking about lowering the Z
I have the square setup on my Z right now it just looks weird with the wheel gap in the back. I don't want to lower the car a ton since it's my DD. I've been thinking about doing the rear spring mount mod and doing some Tein S. Tech lowering springs because they only lower the car .6-.7 inches. I figure the mount mod will make the rear end look more normal and if I'm doing that I might as well do some name brand springs. Will I need anything else? I thought I read that you don't need camber or toe kits unless you lower an inch or more. Should I still think about doing an alignment or will it be fine? Here's a photo of how my ride currently sits.

I was dropped with S-techs and did not require any camber kits. After driving on the springs for a little while, I got an alignment done because it needed to be adjusted. I was running 1.9 degrees of camber in the rear after the adjustment. Barely made it within oem spec. I would suggest getting an alignment after the install.

You just need a wider tire in the back.
A square set up is OK for the track.Just does not look good for the street.
Those are 18's right?I'd do a 275/40/18 in the rear.
Also, some of it is visual.Everything is black. If you had a polished rim or,
red pinstripe on the wheel(not everyone's taste),the car would look lower.

I am lowered on Tein S.techs and I also did the rear spring mount mod. I couldn't get my rear camber any better than -2.5 without adding a camber kit. So thats the way she is sitting now and I am about 5000miles + on my tires showing minimal camber wear. City driving for the most part.
I'd say do the springs and the rear mod as well. You will be happy you did.

I lowered mine with S tech's and for me its the perfect drop. Mine is a DD but with a minor drop it still looks great. Oh, if you use the S Tech's the rear doesnt drop enough. To make it even I trimmed about an 1/2'" off the rear spring rubber.
