In cars with over 100K miles master cylinder failure can occur under heavy braking...One of my Spec Z Buddy's just hit the wall @ 100 MPH due to Master Cyl failure. The car had over 150K miles on it...he didn't change the Master Cyk when he turned it into a race car...

To be fair and on reflection I think I still had about 10-15 % braking power remaining. Losing 90% of my braking power made it seem like a total loss, and I certainly was not able to stop if I had to after the original incident.

$500 later, replaced fronts with oem, and actually feels better then before.

IF it was faulty on Nissan's part installing my aftermarket parts I don't know if there is a remedy from them. In any event pretty scary.

at 150K i would have changed a brake master well before then for a new one hands down...

Time for me to order a rebuild kit for mine, 155k on it. But fluid is constantly fresh
