Default Best suspension setup with stock springs

Hi everyone,

I'm new here, I'm sure this question was asked before but I couldn't find it in the threads. I have a 350z with some XXR rims, tires are 295/30 ZR18 in the front and 295/35 ZR18 in the rear.

Sounds like my shocks are out in the rear, I wanna change the shocks and struts all around. What would be a good setup with my stock springs.

I'm looking for a smooth ride with handling. Something close to Oem but better.

KYB is the best I've had in past experiences. Definetly improved the ride quality etc in my past vehicle. However depends on your budget also since there are a lot better out there.

What is your budget?

I've heard great things about the Tokico D-Spec strut/shock setup (~$750)..

Here's a thread about it:

Here's another (more expensive) option:

My first question is about the tire sizes. 295's on 18s? What is the width of your wheels?

Not that I'm a wheel and tire expert, but I wonder if that combo may have prematurely degraded the shocks.

Any upper level street tire in 295 will bury the rear tire in the wheel well with stock springs....

This is a super sticky A compound Hoosier in 315 with an 850lb rear spring....as you can see it is buried in the wheel well:

D-spec sounds like the way to go. Are they perfect with stock spings?

the bad think about Tokico right now is that their third party assembly plant closed, so they are not being produced right now and last check were 2 months out still, when i inquired about warranty on one they told me that they had nothing to give me but would refund my money. i am sure that you can buy them from a supplier, just wanted to give ya a heads up
