Brembo upgrade
I was considering putting the track edition or akembono BBK on my car but heard that the increased braking capability makes the car very violent when the traction control or abs kicks in. Is this just a myth or is there an easy way to solve the problem? But if I don't go with the BBK route I also thought about the 370z brakes would be an improvement over stock but would they fit the stock rotors and mounting brackets? Thanks

Not sure which myth channel you're tuned into, but neither the Brembos or any other BBK has ANYTHING to do with how ABS or traction control functions. I've driven Z33s with a standard brake package and with Brembos back-to-back and the only difference was the amount of brake fade that comes on with the standard brake package. They simply don't have the same heat sink capacity, and the rear brakes on the standard 350Z would suffer severe wear from it.
BTW- the Akebono BBK from the Z34 uses larger rotors than the ones on the 350Z. They also require a different mounting bracket as well.

I tracked my car before and after the Akebono BBK upgrade - and as mentioned: no difference in ABS performance. The only difference was related to brake fade due to heat build up. The stock brakes are undersized (way too small IMHO) and thus are very easy to overheat in hard driving. The ABS & TCS systems are controlled by wheel speed sensors, thus your tires choices (size / compound) will effect these systems more then brakes.
Akebono BBK = 370Z Sport / G37S OEM brakes. Just be warned these things are BIG and thus they may not fit under some 18" rims. Good upgrade for the $$ if you ask me. The Brembos are only slightly larger then stock and fit no problem since they were a factory option.

Were 18's not an option on the 370z? And if they are indeed too big for some 18's (which they probably are) will they fit under a set of rpf1's?
As for the RFP1's I'm pretty sure the Akebono's fit, but a quick search here would confirm. I know they just fit under the factory 18" Touring V1 (03-05) and V2 (06+) rims because I have both.
The non-Sport 370s came with 18"s, the Sport models had 19"s + Akebono, same with Infiniti G37s.
