New to the 350z. I need help with....
So I just got a completely stock 07 350z hr. I plan on buying wheels but as i was looking at the wheel i noticed the gap between the tire and finder or wheel flare.
How do you guys think i should get rid of it without going to low. I thinking either lowering spring or bigger tires. My main concern is scrapping. I DON'T WANT TO SCRAPE, or worry about scrapping.
What do you think guys?

I think that if one doesn't like something in a car, they shouldn't buy it and try to "fix" it. I also think if Nissan would have thought the car needed less gap it would be so.....

But ya, you want to reduce the gap, you tackle the root cause. Suspension height. Taller tires will do nothing but jack up the car with little to no effect on the gap as well as throw off the speedo and VDC if so equipped. Only way: suspension.
Also, why do so many people that own an '07+ feel like they have to call out the fact that it has an HR engine like it's some badge of honor? I see this all the time and hmmmmm, maybe I should say my Z34N was a "'12 VHR" or in an earlier brand/type bit of snobbery, "I have a Datsun 2 Liter, not a mere 1600, and it has Solexes, B-Cam and full competition everything else." See how silly that is? Ehhhh..... Nice to have an HR but it's not a badge of honor.

The 07+ only came with the HR so its implied when you say 07+. Also it's still a 350z all the suspension is compatible as long as it's a Z33 chassis, same with headers, cats, test pipes and exhausts, as long as you mix and match accordingly. Intake and internal mods will be the only variable things.

No problem, things changed but not enough that aftermarket had to as well. It only really pertains to OEM lol, even at that point my interior is a mishmash of 3 different iterations to the interior, looks like it was born that way.....only the trained eye would know otherwise.

Have fun wirh your new HR. Hahahahaha.
Just to clarify, are you speaking of the gap between the tire and fender moving upwards (ex. if you are looking straight at the wheel from the side of the car), or the tire and fender moving outwards (say, from a birds eye view)?
I am on stock ride height and hate that the rear wheels don't seem to "fill out" the wheel well, if you will.
That can be fixed by adding spacers. Depending on how far out you want to go you can simply add wheel spacers. It will require doing a little research so as not to F it up!

But wait, didn’t you say you were getting new wheels? If that’s the case, just get the right offsets and forget spacers altogether.
