Default The DIY Track Model: Stoptechs installed!

Hey guys,

I decided a while ago to go my own route and make my own track model out of our Enthusiast workhorse.

Here is my recipe:

Step 1. Take one Ultra Yellow Enthusiast model (no airbags, no splash gaurds -- but with aero kit and alum. kick plate). (see. Fig 1)

Step 2. Add 1 set of SSR Comp - H's (18 x 9 and 18 x 10.5). See Figs. 2 and 3

Step 3. Fold in 1 set of Kuhmo MX tires (265/35 and 295/35). See Fig. 4

Step 4. Blend with one Stoptech 14" 4-wheel kit and shake vigourously. And bake at 60 mph to 10 mph ten times or until rotors are crispy and tinted blue. See Figs. 5-7

And -- presto -- you have a beautiful DIY track model for just a bit more than the factory would charge you (assuming you are a good bargain after market shopper).

I will be seasoning this dish with a set of 350Evo sways and Track model rear diffuers in the next week or two, and serving with a garnish of track pads (Pagid Orange) at your local California track.

Check Tirerack (this setup is a Tirerack exclusive) -- and call Luke to order if you want them. The wheels and tires are very reasonably priced.

Lawn Dart -- Are you beating off to my car? That's nasty dude.

MMMmmm 14" Stoptechs. Mine should be here by Friday, and I will be installing them Saturday. I can't wait. I don't think I have seen the silver caliper before.

How many miles do you have on those tires now? Any feathering problems?
