Default Z prices on ebay

Why are the prices so low on the Z at ebay?
go take a look http://motors.listings.ebay.com/Niss...istingItemList

is there like any other charges on ebay thats why the price??

I was at the nissan dealer today. the cheapest nissan I saw was 2004 Base 31 000 and the highest price was 49 000 so why so cheap at ebay???? and autotrader.com this is the average price 34,464.
any one know?? or just the Z's going down in price really quick I better sell mine soon

Not to be a dick, but ebay IS for auctioning, therefore the prices go up as people bid.

I like the Ultra Yellow 35th Anni that is currently only 25,000 with 9 hours left. Makes me wish I had 25,000 dollars

That is pretty sweet. And if I liked wings that one isn't as bad as most of them are, haha.

with ebay, auctions dont go up in price till the last few minutes.

some have gone with some bin for under 20k! you can get a great deal off of ebay, like 3-4 k less than a dealership or even more

if you do an advanced search on Ebay and look through completed auctions, you'll see that VERY few actually sell on Ebay. About 90% are "reserve not met."

And the few that do sell are usually with the "buy it now" feature and the price is just about right for the car.

But there are still those who overpay ... like this one:

That's how much people would pay, and probably how much it would cost. I have seen at least 2 Zs being sold for under 19k, one is 03 enthusiast, one is 03 perf.

Yup, Z's resale took a major drop ever since so many people bought the damn car. If you look at say Lexus IS300 which to me is more of a common and practical car, they are less on E-bay than 350z's. Im so glad I sold mine a few months ago and I was able to get what I did, sold my Base 03 for $23,000 I had my thing on the autotrader and people were offering me $18k cash. It never went over $20k. I was like "WTF, this isn't a HONDA". I was lucky, I found a stupid KID who didn't really do research and had an Integra, DAMN it took me almost 1 month to sell the car to him because of all the bull$hit from the bank he was using to finance, it was really a pain. Sometimes I thought the deal wasn't going to go through and I was going to be stuck with it. I was sad to see the market get so saturated but at the same time I pulled out at the right time. Too many people selling Z's, its just like the basics of supply and demand. Once the GTR comes out, I really feel sorry for Z owners, you will be lucky to even get $20k of an 2005 enthusiast model. Very poor resale value if you ask me, but like the post above said you can always find a stupid chump to pay more for your car you just have to get lucky

Looking over some of them...it seems some are bone stock base models, you have one or two with salvage titles....etc.

You have to read the fine prints.

KBB Is just a reference, but no car really goes by those standards. Look at a 1998 Toyota Supra it has a value of $29,405 from KBB in a "good condition" with 40k miles. You ever see a stock Supra with 40k miles 1998 in "good condition" that car will sell over $40k! Ive seen it on their message forums countless of times. A guy sold a 97 Supra black stick for $45k I was like WOW!! talk about a car actually being an investment instead of a liability. Again, it goes back to what I said SUPPLY OR DEMAND.

prices can be way lower than what KBB shows, I was just using the Supra as a reference. I know many cars that sell way under what KBB shows.

In order to find out what the cars are selling for you should search for completed items on the side menu. That way you'll know what they're actually going for on Ebay. Many of them never actually sell on Ebay because the seller's reserve it typically higher than anyone is willing to pay.
