Default 03 Touring, how much should I offer 'em...?

The car's from a dealer, they're asking $27, bank said they'd give me $26, just wanted to see what some of you guys think I should offer 'em. I haven't had a lot of expieriance (sp) with buying vehicles, kind of got taken on my last one. Oh, 'n' I'm lookin' to trade in my 04 base Tiburon on it. Any advice/comments would be great.
'N' don't slam me cuz I drive a Tib... it was all I could afford at the time.

Edmunds.com does a great job at explaining car buying tricks and suggestions. My suggestion is: Bring down the price on the Z, 27 is too much for an '03. only about $3-4k below New form the dealer for an '06. Also, figure out what the annual interest dollar amount difference is on a used and a new car. You could be paying more for the used car if interest is too high (that is for the life of the loan). After you agree on a price for your trade in and the Z, ask them to take your tiburon for $5k below their offer and deduct those $5k from the price of the z (tax dollars). Make sure you get a full tank of gas and free next service right before you seal the deal.

Just my advice, not a professional.

Since your loan will most likely be shorter on a used car, you will probably be paying MORE per month for that than a brand new '06. I would try to get it around $20k even.

Miles: just at 9k. Nismo exhaust 'n' CAI, heavy tint on the window. The interest I got would only put me at around 4-5%.

Yea man...4-5% is outrageously good!! i have bomb *** credit and they offered me 5.9% on an '04 Performance with 19K miles, if i put $7K down.

Can anyone tell me how much APR the dealers are offering for a new '05 Z (not the '06)??

I just got 4.79% for a new 35th. Anniv. I have really ggod credit and the finance guy at the dealer only cared about getting me the best rate. Some try and make money on the loan as well. It was a nice change of pace....

I paid 28k for a brand new 04 touring this summer loaded but no navi. You can probably find a better deal if you look around a little more or try to work them down a lot.

Ever think of selling the tiburon outright instead of trading it in? You most always get a better deal on both ends that way. I've never traded a vehicle in, always sold outright for at least a few grand more than dealer offered.

Way too much. Stay away from this seller: he’s giving you a high-ball number.

My '04 Track with 8K miles on it values at just over 27K. This seller is asking too much.

Hey, thanks for all the advice guys. I really appreciate it. We'll see how it all works out. If I can't talk him down a bunch I'm just going to wait till I find an orange one.

For $27,000 +/- you can buy an 05 or 06 Enthusiast which would be a FAR better buy.
