Default Dealer cost on an 06

Internet sales guy says this in an e-mail. I sent him an e-mail of exactly what I want.

"Generally, I sell any new Nissan for only $350.00 over my actual dealer cost and would do so here. I do not charge any dealer handling fees to Internet customers and will deliver the Z anywhere in the state of Colorado, free of charge. The only uncertainty is what rebate Nissan will be offering at the time you take delivery. Presently it is $1000.00. Let me know what you would like to do and how I may best assist you. I'm thinking with your e-mail address, you are a Z enthusiast, me too. Have been for 30 years. Talk to you soon..."

What is actual dealer cost? Is that Invoice, I'm confused!

“What is actual dealer cost? Is that Invoice, I'm confused!”

Invoice is not what the dealer paid Nissan. Dealers are often reimbursed by Nissan for volume sales and other incentives. Also consider overhead by the dealership: lease, utilities, employee salaries. So the “dealer cost” is variable.

Charles,
Base price touring: $29,825, Navigation: $1561, Firemist paint: $500, Nissan puts floor mats in all Z's: $64, on a touring w/nav, side air bags are mandatory, $538, freight: $580 TOTAL: $33,068.00 add $350.00 over this dealer invoice, add your applicable taxes plus title application fee ($29.50) and you have your price. Now since you did not mention them, the following options were not built into this pricing:
aluminum kick plate-78
splash guards-108
satellite radio-304
trunk mat-54

I have a silver touring in build process for December delivery. Perhaps depending upon progression, I may be able to change it to the vehicle you desire. Time would be of the essence and I would require a $2000.00, non-refundable deposit. Yes, there is a $1000.00 customer cash rebate presently on '06 Z's. Let me know

I priced it without the $1K rebate, came to $36,185.00

His price came to 33658.00 + TTL. I PM'd him about the Touring Roadster.

Wow so thats only like 32.5k after 1k rebate for a practically loaded 06 Z. Sounds like a really good price to me...

My only problem is my 05 Touring Roadster. I don't owe much, about $13K, but I hate taking hits on trade-ins!

I think I am going to go after the hard top Touring fully loaded, Roadster is killing me on space and insurance will only go down $120 a year!

Decisions decisions.

Performance Nissan offered me an '06 Enthusiast I couldnt refuse....$30,300 OTD. My 340Z is truly a thing of beauty. I went to 6 dealers before i Performance, and none of them gave me a deal remotely close to Performance, except for Miller Nissan in Van Nuys....$500 over invoice. I highly recommend anyone living in Southern Cali to purchase their Nissan at Performance in Duarte, CA. BTW, the LED taillights look sick!!!
