I've been having a hell of a time trying to locate an Enthusiast Z in the color I want in my state so I think I may go with the base Z. Not only that but it's about $3000 less OTD. I'm thinking I can just use that for mods. What do you guys think?

 

Considering that you first registered here in May of 2003, and its now November of 2005, “I think” you have been very patient. Time to pull the trigger on a 350Z, and join the fun.

 

If you are talking about an 06 Z go for the base! They put all the goodies on the base in 06, and nothing you don't want.

The only downside to the base:

No cruise control (dont know how much you drive)
No LSD. Stock lsd sux, get an aftermarket or nismo installed at dealer

I like the base Z, I own an 04 base. They really made the 06 base a contender with the standard HIDs and nicer rims.

Get in there chief.

 

Or you could buy my Z and Ill drive it down to you. My sister goes to school in Valdosta so it would just give me a reason to go visit her.

Ya your right. I can just buy an aftermarket LSD. And I'm sure I can get the metal pedals aftermarket too. I think I'll just go with the base especially since there is a $3000 difference.

 

I have an 05 base for alot of reasons...the lightest of all the cars (not that big of a deal i know) come with the cheap small rims ( everyone buys new rims anyways, I knew I wanted dished 19's), I also wanted aftermarket HID's (your 06 will come standard), I didn't want leather (had it, its a pain to maintain) and I want upgraded Brembo's....The base and next model up are really good to buy if you are planning on modding, I didnt get the next one up because I didnt want 18's, the stock HID's, I never use Cruise Control, and didnt want the weight....I hated my 95 VR4 because it had so much useless technology in it and it was wires and buttons everywhere, the base Z is so.....simple, but so good! Go get your car!
