Default 04 Touring -40K- advice?

Hey guys,

This is my first post!!! Greetings from the dark side (former Mustang owner) I was wondering yall's advice on a Z I am contemplating buying. One owner touring model. 2004 with 40K miles. Asking 18K. Clean carfax. Owner says in pefect mechanical condition.

Also, I was looking through the forums and I couldn't help but notice the tire feathering problem. I would think that this car wasn't affected since it was a one owner car, but you never can be to sure. This really has pushed me away from making the plunge, if I have to look forward to replacing the tires every 7-10K, no thanks. What is the severity of this issue?

Thanks in advance!!

one-owner has nothing to do with the tire-feathering. This can be corrected with aftermarket suspension components, which you should upgrade to anyways if you plan on lowering the Z. Good luck and hopefully welcome to Zdom

Look at the tires for even wear. Z is one nice ride for 18K

18k for that low mileage car sounds like a good deal! The Z is an amazing beast, you won't regret it!

Tire feathering can be fixed. Major feathering was on 03s.

For your own comfort you might take it to dealer to inspect including specs on alignment.

I suspect your fine.

Wow, he made one post, and suddenly vanished. Maybe he bought another Mustang, because he didn't want to research the tire feathering issue.
