as most know, the ETA for my 2008 350Z is monday, June 23rd. i am just wondering what questions/issues/concerns i need to get from the dealer and/or lead Nissan mechanic when i pick up this car? what do i need to know and ask the day i pick it up? what questions can i ask that will make me look good in this dealer and mechanics eyes?

anybody have any thoughts on the issues i need to cover pick up day?

Where the hell is reverse?

Took me several tries before I could get the Z into reverse, and off the dealers lot. Besides that all you really need is the keys.

 

Make sure your understand the maint. schedule and the work done & the prices, get any work to performed by the dealer in writing. Oooh yeah if a woman is taking care of the deal make sure she swallows before you sign on the dotted line.

 

buy gap insurance. when they tell you it's 750 negotiate the cost.. usually it costs the dealer around 350 or 400. Don't pay more than 500 or you're a sucker. Ask them how to set the clock. Ask them where you should have it towed to when you crash it.

 

^^ laughed at this but I was the same. Took me a minute to remember reverse was push down.

gap insurance is FTL, dont waste your money!

 

Just make sure there is no damage to car before you leave....visual inspection.

Then, BEFORE you come on here and start asking questions, READ the manual.

 

My insurance policy has GAP included. Buying an overlapping GAP policy is pointless. Check your current insurance policy.

 

what exactly is GAP insurance?

If you total the car and insurance only give you $10,000 but you still owe $14,000 gap insurance covers the $4,000 gap.

 

i was the same way when i test drove that 350Z about two months ago. the owner had me drive it over to the convenient store next to the lot, to put some gas in it. there was a person in front of me, so i had to back up to get out. thought i was going to have to walk over to the dealership and ask how the he~ll do i get this into reverse. and then the light came on - push down....
