Plus, I don't like the Dan Marino blue...I like the Daytona Blue much better and I think it is only available on 07 and under models. I wanted 6 MT instead of the 5 AT. I guess I will have to go for a used 07 then.

I was just looking at an 08 Touring the other day, but it was a 6 speed. He took it down to $29,980 almost right away. And I didn't buy it.

No, that's not good enough. I've been shopping for an '08 Touring as well. Got a good quote of 29800 drive out price- that's with tax, tags and title included. You might want to get a price report from Consumer Reports- it will include the invoice price, your bottom line bargain price (from where you start negotiating) and will also tell you their hold back (an amazing $3600). You can also get an online appraisal from Consumer Reports for your trade-in and use that as bargaining chip. Keep each part of the deal separate. First, deal on a price for the vehicle and lock on to that- get it in writing. Second, work on financing. Third, get the appraisal. Don't let them BS you. I did that and got a salesman stumped and the manager couldn't believe I knew their tricks, I walked away from their junk deal. I am dealing with a more honest dealership now and they are holding to my offer.

Also, make sure you get a good appraisal for your trade in, and get pre-approved by your credit union or bank. You walk in with that in your hand and they know you mean business. Don't let them pressure you, it's a buyers market right now and you can get deep discounts.

Im in the middle of getting an 08 Base and I'm working with 2 dealerships, so far I've gotten them down to under $24,500 (invoice $27,400 or so, $29K MSRP). I just am having a hard time deciding between white again or black...

Should add something to this, It's a buyer's market if the buyer has good credit and a stable job. Just to let you guys know too, it's not us as the dealership who's preventing a lot of people into cars, it's the banks. With the credit crunh going on right now, a lot of banks don't want to make any risky deals that were going on just a year ago.

As far as going getting pre-approved by your credit union, it's a very good option plus it gets you in and out of the dealership without having to haggle over price for three hours.
