Default New 350z (california deals)

hey all, im new to this forum, so i apologize if this is inthe wrong area.
I was almost set on getting the new Genesis coupe, until i heard that there were new 08 350z's going for 21,000.
Now first of all is this true? ive looked online and none of the Inland empire area dealers have any such special. So do you guys know if there are automatic rebates on these, or im going to have to negotiate my way to it? Also, what dealer i should go to (prefferably in my area-Corona, Riverside etc..)
Thanks in advance!

Not certain. Find the 350Z that you want. Visit the dealer and make your offer.

Yes this is completely true. I just picked up a new 08 touring model 2 weeks ago. the MSRP was 36,650. I got it for 28 out the door. The guy told me to pick the car I want round down to the nearest thousand and subtract 8 thousand off MSRP and that was my price. At first he wanted me to pay tax on it but i negotiated it so there was no tax =)

Oh and I went to Stevens Creek Nissan in the south bay. Go there and ask for Wilson. He is amazing! tell him Harris sent you and he'll treat you right.

Just bought my 08 base 6speed in SMB for $22,000 +ttt. I got a quote on another silver base for $21,200 but didnt want that color and i was sick of negotiating w/ the dealor. And i got a quote for a loaded Touring redline for $25,000. Hope that helps give you a referance point.

And when bought my car i went into the dealorship with a bottom line price and they didnt match it so i left. Well lets just say as soon as i got in my car they literally came chasing after me in the lot taping on my window. The salesman had "just" spoken to the owner and would meet my numbers, so i left a deposit and bought the car. Thats the long story short.

hmm great info guys! i appreciate the responses. So as i see it, you have to go in and haggle...but they ARE willing to go around 7k off MSRP. im hoping to get a base A/T..so hopefully one of my local dealerships still has some on the lot.
And ZyoungBuck great story at the end, they must have been desperate! lol

They should be offering you 7k off MSRP when you walk in the door. 7k is just invoice + rebates ($5000 in rebates currently). You should not be paying over invoice for an '08 model when the 370z was released this year. People were getting 10k off MSRP in december. Don't settle for anything less now that it's march '09.

Bases don't come with ATs I believe, so the lowest trim you are looking at is an enthusiast.
