Problem is this dealer acts tough. These guys were all like "no we won't lose money on the car just to sell it we don't care if its been sitting there for 200 days, blah blah blah"

My other dealer was willing to give me the deal on a base auto.....their last one... if only it wasn't auto, though.

Deal with the fleet manager...NO salesmen.
Fax your offer to the dealerships GM, and go from there.

got my Base 6mT Carbon Silver Z for 21,500 + Tax 4 months ago in Cali so I'm sure you can get this price anywhere now. (if not lower) I did my deal over email btw.

I did mine over email. I jumped back and forth with offers from other dealerships until I got as low as I could get. I did this so I wouldn’t have to deal with them over the phone or in person and it worked out pretty well. I’m thinking I may do this more often in the future when it comes to other vehicles.

nowadays, you really don't have to talk to the seller in person.
best bet is through emails. they can't tell if you are anxious or desperate.
if by phone. be straight and say less as possible!
