New Z dilemma.
Hello everyone, I'm new to the forums but im in need of some help. I'll be joining the family officially very soon. I'm going to look at a couple Z's this weekend and need your help.
There are 2 in particular I'm looking at, but let me first say this. I dont make a ton of money and really only have about 2500 saved up for a down payment. These are both silver

an 03 touring with 45,000 miles. $12,000
Clean looking car, have yet to drive but has a really good looking/sounding exhaust (custom). Looks very clean inside and out and not worn down at all. Thats about all i know about that one.
#2 05 anniversary with 65,000 miles $17,000
Looks very clean and bone stock. also have yet to drive. Really dont know much about this one besides pictures.
my real dilemma isnt what car is better, but is the extra 5k worth while when I can get my own brakes, wheels, and even more for 5k to match the 05? or is the rev-up motor worth that extra bit? Is there any problems prone to the first year z that should keep me away?
I really dont know enough about the rev-up/non rev-up motors at all to know whats better. If you could help me out, I thank you! I'm going tomorrow and friday for a couple test drives.

But of course, EVERY 05 to 06 Rev-up consumes oil. If it's made it 65,000 miles I'm willing to bet it does not consume as the owner probably did not nurse it along. Take your negativity elsewhere. Anywho, I'm with davidv on the 03. Pick up a low mileage car and have better piece of mind. While the 05 has some kinks worked out, the 03 will be a great car.

Less miles is always a plus in my mind, if you keep an eye out and be patient you may be able to find something in the middle. I know because I just bought my Z so I have been looking a lot recently and I know there are some 04s out there with 30,000 miles for around $14-15,000.

I wasn't going to say anything but don't buy from a dealer; Either way you look at it they are making about 6 grand off you. The 05 for 17grand and that much miles is a ripoff
I suggest you going to Kelly Bluebook just for a guideline
