![Question](https://my350z.com/forum/images/icons/icon5.gif)
okay, i have posted this link but i wanted to know if theres anything i should look out for when i purchase this 350z?
http://carmax.com/enus/view-car/defa...e-bd19eb1ecbd7
its a 2007 touring 350z
is there things that bother you on a daily basis?
ive read the threads about what you guys hate on the 350z like window motors and rattles and the stereo,
whats wrong with the stereo? its bose though. are you guys just huge audiophiles or is it rly that bad?
whats wrong with the window motors?
and any rattles?
and finally, for the problems mentioned above, is that for the older 03-06 model years that have all these problems?? or am i worry free for the 07 350z touring since maybe nissan could have solved some of em?
im hesitating about whether i should get their extended service plan because i do plan on putting on a few bolt on mods like exhaust, cai, etc. would my service be voided by carmax?
i appreciate the advice and help=]

honestly, those above mentioned issues aren't big deals at all. i guess it depends on what the person likes. for me, I have a 2004 with 70k miles, and have yet to have any problem with the window motors. and when i had my stock audio setup (non-bose), it wasn't awful. you will have some rattle, but hey, its a sports car.. man up! (the rattle probably isnt as bad as you think everyone talks about)
buy the car, you'll love it!

Test drive the car to make sure there isn't anything wrong with it. The problems that you mentioned can be fix such as new head unit and dynamat. My windows are fine on my 07 with 51k. Like Bmurray said, "its not really that bad plus its a sport car!" Now go out and get that car.

watch out for the clutch slave cylinder in that z, it probably was done, but if it wasn't it should be covered by nissan, except for that you should be fine, i have a 08 with 25k on it, only thing i do to it change the oil every 3k/6months and keep up with the fluids

350z is made with win and comes with a feature that most cars cant provide... it can make the driver feel euphoric. those little issues mentioned are not even noticeable if you just focus on how much you love your z.

I bought my z from CarMax and I got their extended warranty because I didn't want to risk having transmission issues not being covered. However the way their warranty works is you get additional years on top of the day you buy. so you will get say 7 years additional regardless of age of vehicle. However, the warranty still counts the miles you have. so since you have 51K already, you will probably have to pay for the more expensive 100k warranty to be more effective. Just keep that in mind.
The Bose isn't to bad. Fm radio sounds bad, but CDs should be decent. At least the Bose has subs so you don't have to drop in an entire sound system immediately.what I did was get a doubled din headunit installed 1st.later on I'll add subs and new speakers.

i got only the 75 thousand miles service plan. so i have around another 25k miles to go.
my suv that i have owned for 2 years only has 23k miles so 2 years on the 350z is more than enough.
Deteria, you put in an aftermarket stereo?
i thought that void the service plan that im buying from carmax?
i mean i cant really put any simple bolt ons for the 350z until it hits 75k miles?
it seems like such a long wait. should i even get the extended service plan anymore?
its like like 20 dollars extra per month.
I want the extra security on a used car afterwards for maybe a year, but i dont rly want it any longer than that since i do plan on modding.
my salesperson did say i can cancel the service plan at any time so im kind of confused on whether i should get it

I just bought an 03 Enthusiast in August with 60k miles. The rattles aren't too bad, and as far as window motors go, I've had one issue: It would come back down when I rolled it up on the passenger side. This is a quick fix, you take the door panel off and press the reset button and open and close the window. I've had no problems since. I love my car and the mixture of gas mpg and power. I would strongly recommend it, but make sure you know the base model is terrible :: I can't speak for the Bose, I've never heard it.
Best wishes! Let us know what you decide! Hope you find yourself in a Z, you won't regret it.

i also have one last question.......
I'm only like 5ft4 or 5ft5 with my shoes on so you can tell, I'm not tall by all means so I'm wondering if I'm going to have problems driving the 350z touring.
is the seating position fine for someone my height??
does the seat have to be moved up significantly to look stupid?
i would love feedback from the people who are around my height or also shorter
ive been worried about this question for a while now.
right now, i drive a 3 row 2008 toyota highlander and have no problem moving that thing around so its going to be a big change and might take time getting used to. i want to at least know i can reach the pedals or have a comfortable seating position.. since the steering wheel in the Z doesnt telescope like my suv does

Few issues that I've found after I bought my Z and owned it for 4 years now.
1. Had to replace the compressor belts a month after I bought it. (used car) @ 13k miles.
2. It's a convertible so my top start having tears.
3. Power seat switch broke after a year. PITA to fixed it. Basically it cost the same to get a racing seat.
4. Weather trim easily breaks.
5. Door handles break...year #4 of owning it.
It's a minor issue but after being ripped off when I bought, im Pissed.!
