Default low miles 2005 base what would you pay?

i want to get input on a 350z i saw yesterday at a dealer it was a red 2005 base model it looked really good i only turned on the engine revved it a bit not too high, now here comes the catch.. it has 9806 miles i could not believe it either.. the question is how much would you pay for this car? i don't want to over pay because even if it has that low mileage it still is an old car, and i wanted the enthusiast or touring model but i'm willing to consider this base model because of the mileage and if the price is right, the guy wouldn't tell me the price because they just got the car like 15 minutes earlier and they had not set it yet.. any input is great

To be honest, if your getting it from a dealer your going to over pay regardless. Try nada or black blook. Dealers tend to use those and tak on a couple thousand. Good luck to which ever you decide. Keep us posted.

It depends on what your plans are with the Z. If you're going to mod it, this is your best bet since you won't be compromising the extra amenities that come with the higher end models. If you want to keep it stock but want the extras, I would hold off and get what you really want. You'll be happier in the end.

But if the dealer throws out a price that you can't refuse for that mileage, then you have quite a decision to make. Good luck!

I recently got this 04 base model used with 115k for $9k. Bought from private seller for a somewhat reasonable price I think.

One year newer plus low miles? prolly closer to 13 or up? i dunno

If you are chased off with asking prices, you are doing something wrong. A asking price doesn't mean squat.

Make a budget
Check KBB.
Visit the seller and make your best offer.

I recommend that you do NOT offer round numbers like $14,000. Sounds like you pulled a number out your ***. The seller knows that you are ill prepared.

actually i told the sales man that i wanted the car and offered $14,500 he told me that there was no way they would sell it below the asking price and that the only way he could help me was via financing for a good monthly payment, i even said i would bring a check or even cash for the full amount and i still got turned down...

My 2 cents..
There's NO WAY they're gonna get 18900 for an 05..I don't care what the milage is. Dealer is blowing smoke up your ****. He knows ya want it. Personally, I think it's worth 16k. If ya can't afford that, walk away, cause it's not likely to sell for less.

Should have realized that after 9 years this is a pipe dream.
