it seems to me that you are planning to buy the car either way...otherwise you wouldn't have come to a 350z forum to ask opinions about the car...obviously the opinions here are going to be slightly biased towards the car...so to save you a whole bunch of time...just buy the car cuz you'll love it...
natious,
Your choices for a $30,000 2-seater rwd N/A coupe is either a 350Z or a Camaro.
Your choices for a $30,000 sports car are 350Z, Camaro, Mustang, STI, Evo VIII, or S2000, basically.
Your choices for a $30,000 vehicle, many.
Just go with what genieman said and get one.

Hey Natious_1,
The car is awesome, and since you're heading into the third model year, they're only going to get better. Since you own a Nissan already, you're familiar with Nissan service so there's no need to "warn" you about that.
Assuming that a 2-seater that gets marginal gas mileage and is potentially expensive to maintain is in line with your wants, I believe there is no better car in it's category.
In short....Go for it!
Oh yeah, and try the search function, this question has been asked alot here.

I have a 2004.5 Performance, with 5000 miles, and have had zero problems. No feathering, not a squeak. I also drive it like it was meant to be driven, but it is not my daily driver.
About Nissan service, I think it depends on were you go.

As long as you understand the Zzz is a two seater with milage in the low 20s, goooooooooooooo for it.
My Brick has been very reliable & I've seen no evidence it will be expensive to maintain.

I think we all faced this decision and decided the 350Z gives you the most bang for your buck around the $30,000 price range. The big decisions to make are if you want RWD or AWD and turbo or all motor and convertible or coupe.
