i really don't care about the shining part. i can make my car shine with a stick of butter if i had to. but hiding swirl is a *****!!

thx.

I've only used the liquid so I can't say much about the other stuff.. But it works great. I read a bunch of posts where people say they like the paste version better though.

I am new to extreme car detailing, but I have been using Meguiar's Gold Class. My Z is a new chrome silver, so I don't really have to worry about swirl marks too much.
However, I would love any recommendations for this particular color. So far, it seems that people here like either Zaino or Megiars NXT. Is my gold class just not gonna cut if for me?

If you like the look of gold class keep using it...NXT will tend to darken the look of your chrome silver (most megs products darken/add "depth")...Zaino is a very durable but optically clear sealant...NXT or gold class will not last as long as Zaino...but they are both localy avaible and very user friendly...no lab coat or mixing beakers required

I recently switched from Klasse polish to Zaino. I really like the results with Zaino. So far six coats of Zaino polish (two coats of Z5 and four coats of Z2).

I'm going to go with 3M or Eagel one when I'm finished with Zaino. Heard good things about 3M

You only need apply Z5 if you have swirls or scratches. If you've got those under control then all you need is Z2.
I've had my car for over 2 yrs & have 32 coats. The ONLY reason I apply that many is because the more layers the deaper the shine. If you're just interested in protecting the paint then just apply it as you would any other wax/polish.
Now compare, Zaino goes on and comes off better than anything else out there. Plus you probably use less Zaino per coat as well.
