Default Clear Bra turning yellow... It's so damn ugly!

Well, I knew this day would come. My clear bra on my PPW Z is turning yellow and really starting to stick out. I'm sure there is no fix for it other than to replace it, but, if anyone knows any tricks that might help clear things up please share them here.

Other wise, does anyone know of a good film that doesn't turn yellow as quickly as mine did? (I have 3M film which was on my Z for about a year!)

Thanks!

I thought 3M had a warranty that stated it wouldn't turn yellow? I have had my 3M for almost 2 years now with no yellowing.

Do you maintain the clearbra? Clean and wax it often? This is very important.

You should apply the same wax to the clear bra that you use on the car. That keeps one from fading more or less than the other.

3M had the yellowing problem on their first generation film. That problem is claimed to have been corrected in their current adhesive formula which is almost 3 years old. It's the adhesive that turns yellow on 3M, so, unless you have some yellow coating on top of your bra, there's nothing you can do about the adhesive. According to your timetable, this isn't supposed to be happening to the adhesive. If you have your receipts, 3M should cover the replacement.

This may be an informative thread for you to visit. The author is an installer that likes to use Venture, so, If you choose to go with another material instead of 3M, I would do further research.

Hope this helps.

From the 3M website......

"Warranty
Q. What is the Scotchgard™ Paint Protection Film warranty?
A. 3M warrants that Scotchgard™ Paint Protection Film will be free of defects in materials and manufacture — including yellowing, bubbling, or cracking — or five (5) years from date of purchase. This warranty does not apply to damage caused by misuse, accident, misapplication, or ordinary wear, nor does it apply to dents caused by physical impact of rocks or road debris. Some installers may choose to offer, on their own behalf, different or additional warranties or remedies, beyond the warranty and limited remedies offered by 3M.

Q. Q. How do I make a warranty claim?
A. To make a claim under this warranty, simply contact 3M at 1-800-643-0955. You must have your warranty card to validate your warranty. 3M will direct you to an installer selected by 3M to have your Scotchgard Paint Protection Film inspected and, if your claim is covered by this Warranty, 3M will have the installer removed the old and reapply new Scotchgard Paint Protection Film.

Remedies and Limitations: The 3M warranty and limited remedies stated in this document are exclusive and is made in place of all other express or implied warranties, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. 3M shall not be liable for any other damages or costs, including incidental or consequential damages, arising out of the use of inability to use Soctchgard paint Protection Film or any vehicle to which it has been applied....."

Grommit, what's the word from Aeroshield? I just picked up my Z and would like to get this done, but have reservations after reading it. I've been doing a lot of research on this lately and have found mixed reviews. It seems the guys at Premier do not have issues like this.......can anyone confirm? Thanks!
