is it normal for the brake dust to build up on the front wheels realy fast adn alot more than the rear wheels?
also is there only certain cleaners you can use on the stock 18s? my friend says some cleaners will eat away at teh clear coat on them if im not careful.

Yes please search, here is your answer.

1. Change the front brake pads (Hawks, $65) and your problem is solved

or

2. wheelwax.com, but then you still have to wash every few days.

Go with Answer #1

Beware of wheel cleaners, my personal advice, is to use good ole soap/water and elbow grease!

thats my question though. is alot ofbrake dust common or indicate my pads goign out? the car stops on a dime still and gives no indication of brake pads going out, for example sqeaking or squeeling or any odd noises during braking.

Yes all Z's with OEM brakes have the bad dusting problem. I changed mine within 3 days of owning my Z. No brake dust now!

Clean with normal car soap and water. No need for any harsh cleaners unless you've let it build up over a long period of time and it won't come off with regular washing.

Do yourself a large favor and get some wheelwax and some wheel cleaner ( I like hot rims) That will save you alot of time and effort in cleaning your rims.
