Zaino left my car looking like a Zebra
I could have sworn I applied it evenly. It's only noticeable from certain angles. But I tried to Z-6 over it and no luck. Ideas? Will additional coats of Zaino just enhance the zebra stripes?
Sounds like you removed it before it was dry and this can look like undried streaks. Just mist the paint with plain water and buff with a clean, dry all cotton towel. Adding more polish or more Z-6 just over applies polish to un dried polish that is setting on the surface and can make it worse.
Zaino must be dried to a powder like haze before removal, it is not a remove wet type of product.

I didn't have any problems with the Z-5. It was the Z-2. I let it dry for 5 hours and it was still streaking. I used ZFX also. I then waited another 24 hours and when i went to test it, instead of streaking, it would end up looking like eraser shavings. Since it had been 24 hours, I assumed this was how Z-2 dried. Thoughts? and I applied it thin too! In certain areas when it was hazing, it looked like I hadn't even applied it at all.

I put in 5 drops in since I only put an ounce in the bottle. Unless I pulled a bruce campbell in Army of Darkness.
I tried looking for the Zebra stripes again, but was unable to. I think it was the early morning light at dawn. It was right after sunrise. I'll check again tomorrow and see if I can take a picture. But if its gone, that would be tops.

As far as the Zebra, another possibility is uneven coverage. Zaino is so clear and goes on so thin it is fairly hard to see where you applied it, especially on light colored cars.

This is absolutely crazy! I cant believe one has to let Zaino sit 5+ to 24 hours to dry. ??

Another reason you see streaks is because of the color of your car. No one here ever talks about the fact that the color of your car should dictate the type of wax you should use.
afr0puff, get rid of that stuff and use something more friendly and is designed for your color car.
You don't HAVE to wait that long! With ZFX you can usually take it off by the time you are finished putting it on. UNLESS it is really cold out. This fact isn't exclusive to Zaino, but is a fact of life with ANY wax!
There is no "jumping through hoops" needed. You put it on and take it off, just like anything else. It just looks and protects MUCH better than any other wax IMO.
Finally, who said that a wax/polymer sealant has to be "designed for" your car color? Where did you ever hear this? Zaino works great for ANY color car. I have it on my wife's WHITE Jeep, my DARK GREEN Stealth, and my Brickyard Z. I works great and looks even better on ALL of them.
Look, if you are having a problem with the product, then you are probably doing something wrong. As mentioned above, you are more than likely putting it on too thick or not waiting long enough for it to dry (due to lower temps). Don't damn the product that has worked very well for MANY others on here.

I agree with ScottC. Jumping through hoops to wax your car is insane!

But I do know that I must have applied the Z-6 properly. A week later of 50+ miles of driving each day, my car is still dust free. I had a problem with the car collecting dust after I buffed the Zaino off, but once I put on the Z-6, zero dust problems.
Once it gets above 35 again, I'm going to put on another coat of Z-2 w/ZFX. If it takes that long again, then I am definitely doing something wrong.

I gave Zanio another shot a couple of weeks ago. I did another compairson with zaino and blackfire. After all the prep work it took me less than two hours to use both blackfire products and do a second coat. Zaino on the other hand took longer. Even though my Z is well protected the side with the Blackfire is still "wetter looking". What is even cooler than water beading is that multiple coats of Blackfire is now sheeting water rather than beading. I almost don't need my Big Blue!
