Default Zaino help?

I've been applying Z-2, with coats of Z-6 inbetween for some time now, trying to get rid of these damndable swirl marks.

I've put on 9-10 solid coats of Zaino and they still stand strong.

It's a Super Black which is going to have SOME swirl marks but my car shouldn't look like Spider-man went crazy on it.

Any help/advice?

It's the Z5 that inhibits the swirls! Z5 fills in small scratches and spidering too. You should have,
Z5'd,
Z6,
Z5 again if need be, or as much as you need to.
Z6,
Z2,
Z6,
Z2,
Z6

But, remember don't apply more than 3 coats of Z2 or Z5 in a 24 hr period. Like 1 coat Z5 and 2 coats Z2. But do Z6 in between any of them.

Read this link from ZAINO!

Bah, I'm sorry it was a typo.

I HAVE been using the Z-5 for swirl marks and scratches as described on the bottle.

One thing to try and figure out is are new swirls appearing as fast as you hide the old ones, or are the old ones so deep you can't get rid of them?

You are doing everything in straight lines, aren't you? One thing you can try is to wash behind the rear window side to side and see if marks appear side to side back there, if so, it's something you're doing. I normally recommend one thing each day. Duster one day, wash another, apply polish another.... That way at the end of each session if marks appear going across the car you found the culprit. You want to be really careful doing that as you don't really want marks going across the car, but it will tell you if you're the problem.

Use 100% cotton wash mitts and towels AND a GENTLE touch. If you are putting in new ones all the time it is a loosing battle.

I'm beginning to think Zaino needs to introduce an engineering degree in "zainoing" to wax ones car with their system.

Yikes!

It's not that it takes a degree or even that it's hard. It's just that there comes a point where to get ever better results you need to learn how not to cause more problems than you're solving. A fair number of my customers buy Zaino because thy've been told it lasts a long time and only want to put on a coat of something a couple of times a year. It all depends what you want. I make sure people know how to make their car come out perfect knowing that many of them don't care. But I know if I plant the seeds their cars will look better for it. Doing it right isn't so much harder as it is knowing how and why.

I just recieved my order of Zaino products last friday. I spent the weekend doing up my 350Z. The results were stunning!
This is my first experience with Zaino and I did a lot of reading here and at Zaino site to soak up every tip I could. Thanks Dr Bonz!!
I put on two coats of Z5 and two coats of Z2 so far. Annoying scratches are being taken care of by the Z5 and I do need some more Z5 coats. No swirls are a result!! It was hard work and my lumbar is soar but well worth it.

I washed with Dawn.
Clay bar w/Z7 as lube.
Washed with Z7, rinse and dry.
Z6,
Z5 + ZFX,
Z6,
Z2 + ZFX,
Z6,
Realized I still needed more Z5 and did so,
Z6,
Z2 + ZFX,
Z6

I did all applications with 100% cotton and buffs with same.
All with straight motions and no circular motions. Hood, top and rear lid front to back motions. All vertical surfaces up and down.

And the surfaces are so smooth and slippery now. I had a cotton towel on top of the car and it slid all the way down the back, I Z6'ed the windows too, like it was water. I caught it before it fell off.

No offense MATIX, but is that a real question or just one for laughs?

No need to wax after Zaino. I have read that some users like to apply a coat of premium Carnauba at the end for a little extra shine. Remember though that the wax will not last long and would need to be reapplied much more frequently than the Zaino.
