Default Yet Another Zaino Thread...(yawn)

Well folks, my Zaino product finally came in and I had an opportunity to spend the day detailing the car so I thought it might be fun for some of those that never had the chance to use Zaino to see the process and decide for yourself whether it is the product for you...

I was successfully able to get two coats of Zaino Z5 polish on before time ran out (total time around 6 hours). And here was the process...

Wash with Dawn dishwashing liquid
Claybar (although since my car was so new, this didn't reall do much for me, hehe)
Wash with Zaino Z7 Carwash (drying with microfiber towel)
Zaino Z6 Misting (rubbing in with microfiber towel)
Polish with Zaino Z5 (let cure for 90 minutes as it was over 90 degrees today in Portland and I was dying of heat exhaustion)
Buff off with microfiber towel
Zaino Z6 misting
2nd coat of Zaino Z5 (let cure for 120 minutes)
Final Z6 misting

Before Starting (note the grime or bird poo-like substance ruining my Z emblem):

Spotting caused by sprinklers near my apartment (Aargh!!):

...and brake dust like there is no tomorrow!!!:

Here are a few pictures after phase one (which was just doing a wash with Dawn Dishwashing Liquid).

Just designed to get rid of anything the dealer had put on the car....

Thanks for the feedback, guys, I owe most of my knowledge to this forum as far as the usage and recommendation of Zaino. A big thank you goes to all those on here that have done similar threads, I'm just trying to do my part

Robert, I got the cover through Courtesy Nissan out of Texas. It will run you about $200 (at least the one I got, they do have cheaper models).

Here is a link so you can do more research to see which cover is right for you. (I was so pissed about the water spotting as it happened two days before my cover was scheduled to arrive!!!)

Welcome to The Bretheren of Zaino Jedi!

You might want to try the Z-8 (instead of the Z-6) It is a little bit better in my opinion.

Also, even though your car is new, the claybar is well worth it. It came over from Japan on a boat, sat in a huge lot at the port, was loaded onto a truck and driven to your dealer where it may have sat for months. Take a look at my ORIGINAL Zaino threads to see what the claybar does for you, even on a new car.

You may also want to look into using the ZFX flashcure additive. With this, you don't need to let the polish cure so long. You can actually take it off in under an hour (less if it is hot and dry out).

Finally, why no Z-2? The Z-5 is for swirls. I use Z-5 for the first layer(s) but always finish off with the Z-2. It shines just a little bit better.

Happy Zainoing!

My Zaino layer count at this time stands at 102!

Thanks for the response, Dr Bonz!

To answer your question, I used Z5 instead of Z2 because I simply forgot to order Z2?!? I had my instructions printed out, opened the box and was like "uh oh"!

Haha, even without the Z2 I am happy with the results. Next detailing session, I am going to order some Z2 and Z8 to compare/contrast.

Thanks for all those links, going to check them out now.

102?!?! Wow, you are the standard we all aim for

p.s. I'm only 100 behind you so watch out! Haha...
