Question Does it annoy the hell out of you.....

....when your car is dirty and you can't wash it because there's rain in the forecast?

Man, I've had mine all of 6 days and it has rained five of them (it was just overcast the day I got it). And it will rain tomorrow and most of the weekend too.

I was gonna try to take it to one of those self wash places and wash and wax it in the booth. I figured nobody would be waiting for me to get out. But I can't figure out how to hand wash parts of it at a time without spending $2.50 for each part (to turn the water back on).

I gotta get out of this apartment!!

Mine has all kinds of pollen on it and it is cold and looks like rain here to, so I have to let it sit a little longer. I left it uncovered one night and it had alot of pollen on it the next day and haven't had a chance to clean it off and put the cover back on. Hopefully it will warm up over the next few days so I can wash it right and put a coat of Zaino on it..

Got up early this morning to clean the Z. Washed it, clayed it, washed it again, waxed it, put on the paint protector, wiped down the engine and did the vacuuming, . The CS looked super.
When finished, go into the house and turn the tube on to a local channel and quess what? Rain is on the way! If the rain isn't here the pollen is.....ever seen a yellow/green chrome silver?

You could always move to CA. We may have gotten our last rain until some time in Oct or Nov. Until then nothing but clear blue skies.

Cheers.

Stone Z,

That's great! You crack me up. Sorry to see that your Z is burried until it thaws out. Northeastern US?

Here in the Seattle area we get rain pretty much every day from October to May. When I got my Z back in January, I'd only take it out when the weather was "acceptable" but after a while it occured to me that if you're not going to drive your car in the rain, then you're not going to drive your car in Seattle. I think rain isn't too bad, it's the dirty water on the road that other cars pickup, atomize that ends up on the car. I try to avoid it, by staying clear of trucks, SUV's and by keeping a fair distance behind a car when the road's really wet but it's turning out to be more trouble than it's worth.

I end up spending a lot more time cleaning it than I'd like to, but it's not too bad. For some reason I enjoy cleaning this car a lot more than I did my other cars.

I live in Rochester, NY man. The summers are great but winter is at least 6 months long. I'm just recovering from an ice storm and we have 6 inches of snow down - AND IT'S APRIL 8th ! I'm obsessed with cleaning and detailing my car and I will not drive it when there might be salt on the roads. I picked her up exactly a month ago and have driven it about 6 times. Hey insaneamine - are you still selling your grounding kits ?
