Default 03 Touring with neglected and hard leather seats.

I just bought my 03 Redline Touring and the seats have not been taken car of. They are the frost seats and they have become hard, dirty and cracked but not tore thank god. I bought some Lexol PH cleaner and some Lexol Conditioner and some microfiber applicators. Will this help with softening the leather any? Should I let the conditioner sit for a while and let the leather soak it up?

I plan on bringing the car back from its previous owners inability to clean. I also read somewhere that the Leatherique kit was good as well.

interesting. those seats mayyyy be too far gone. tough to say without pictures.
my 2003's seats have been slowly deteriorating over the years even while i was
taking care of them. i could only imagine how bad yours are. on a positive note
new seats are not the most expensive upgrade... take some flics and tell us how goes.

I highly recommend the Leatherique Prestine Clean and Rejuvenator Oil. This combination does an excellent job of making the leather look clean and feel soft again. The conditioners help soften the leather so it remains soft and flexible for years to come. The cleaners helps safely remove contaminants lodged deep in the leather and keep it looking top notch. This is my go to leather care process when I want to restore leather. Best of all we have the Leatherique Products on sale this month only at www.detailedimage.com. We also have detailed instructions on how to best use these products in our Detailing Guide - Leather Care - Leatherique. Let me know if you have any questions about these products or how to best use them.

I used Lexol last night and the results I got were very good. The seats were not as dry as I had thought. Though the drivers seat shows signs of the Frost color rubbing off and cracking showing the black leather under the color. Here are some pics before and while cleaning with the Lexol.

Those look pretty good for frost '03 seats. I have seen scores which
look far worse. Good job.

I might add the difference in the steering wheel with the Lexol was amazing. I swear the girl who used to drive the car must have used tons of lotions cause the leather on the wheel is really preserved LOL!!! The thing looks and feels better than brand new after cleaning and conditioning. I still have more work to do before I put the car cover on her.
