Default Best way for normal washing

I recently got a 2007 Roadster, and am wondering what everyone's best supplies have been for normal washing. I found all the posts about detailing, but what about just normal car washing? How often do you wash your Z?

Really though, washing is more so about your wash technique. You're going to want to use the least invasive method. The less you touch you paint, the better. The more you touch your paint the higher your chance of inducing swirls.

The popular wash media today is either a grout sponge or sheepskin mitt. Both can be had through Detailed Image.

Check out this tutorial by a friend Charles, I found it effective:

Washing and Drying safely and is a major part of caring for your vehicle properly. I highly recommend you look at our Washing and Drying Starter Kit or our Washing and Drying Ultimate Kit. These kits give you high quality detailing supplies to complete a safe and effective wash. You also save big with the package deal. I recommend washing your vehicle at least once per month as a minimum but there is not a "right" amount of washes per year. I suggest trying to set up a regular routine that works for you. Let me know if you have any other questions!

I wash my Z every 1-2 weeks. I like to use my new foam gun to lather the soap well. As for the soap, I prefer CG Wash & Gloss or Poorboy's Super Slick & Suds. I use microfiber towels to wash, but many prefer sheep's wool gloves. As for drying, you've got to have a good waffle weave towel. The one I have from Detailed Image makes drying very easy - http://www.detailedimage.com/wax.php...ng-Towel-P100/
Happy washing!

+1 DI's waffle weave drying towels are the best I've ever used.

i usually prefer to wash my car at, around, or before 6am. (pending on weather). I like to wash at this time because that's when my car is at it's coldest temp, while still having enough light to see what I'm doing. I also like to take my Z out for a nice drive with semi aggressive braking so that the car can expel any excess water trapped in crevices and it keeps my rotors rust free. Then after the drive I would spot dry to avoid water spots.
