Default The Cult of Zaino

I officially don't get it - What is the obsession this group has with Zaino ? It's gotten to the point where people identify themselves by how many coats of the stuff they have on their cars.

OK, it begins with a "Z" - Is that enough to form a cult or something ?

"I have 25 coats of Zaino"

"Oh yeah, I have 35 . . . . . "

I just joined!

Two weeks ago, I sent away for my Zaino kit. I'm still waiting for my Z to arrive, so I tried the Zaino out on my 99 Dodge Dakota R/T.

First, I was amazed at the effect that claying had on the paint. The difference was.....well.....amazing. I've had some bumpy overspray on the red paint since day 1 and the clay bar took it all off.

Problem now is that my wife and kids all want to use the stuff. At this rate, it will be all gone before my car even gets here. I finally had to lock the stuff up in my tool chest.

Default Crystal Guard!!!!

I use crystal guard, just as good as Zaino IMO and extremely easy to apply each coat. I know the debate of Zaino vs Crystal Guard has been beaten to death but I stand by Crystal Guard.

This whole # of coats counting thing is a little obsessive and doesnt make sense. Its not like if you applied 20 coats over the last year that you actually have 20 coats on the car right now. All waxes, polymer and otherwise, erode with time, whether you have 1 coat or 100. All the "# of coats" tell me is that someone like Dr. Bonz with 50+ coats must wash and wax their car weekly, which just tells me they take really good care of their car. I respect that and the results show.

Hey Doc, Sal should pay you commission because your Z is the first thing that people think about when Zaino is ever mentioned on this board!

Zaino is ADDICTIVE!!! It should come with HUGE warning label on the bottle!!

WARNING!!! USE OF THIS PRODUCT WILL WARP YOUR MIND INTO WANTING TO APPLY MORE ZAINO TO YOUR CAR EVERY SPARE MINUTE YOU HAVE!!!!

Seriously though, I read all the cult like posts about Zaino before I bought any. I just applied a coat on Friday night in my garage. My car is brand new, 300 miles on it, and Zaino made the Lemans Sunset paint just GLOW like crazy. It's like I plugged the car into the wall, it just GLOWS!!!

I use to swear by Liquid Glass, which is very similar to Zaino. The thing with Liquid Glass is you have a white residue left over on the black trim on your car, which is a pain to remove.

I have never used a polish that goes on soooo easy, comes off sooo easy, and looks this great.

ZAINO RULES!

I just put coat #20 on my car.

E.F. VaBeach, Maybe we can meet somewhere if you want to see 1st hand how good Zaino looks.
