Default Wax

I'm still hunting for a Z. But on a side note. My wife just got a 08 Altima. I'm assuming that will be the same paint as on a Z. What's the preffered wax to use? I'm planning on a good clean-up this weekend. Thanks

Bee's.
Is the traditional carnuba a good choice or are the new silicone based formulas better for the clearcoat?

Anything Meguiar's or Mothers will do what your needing to do for a "weekend cleanup". If you are looking to do paint correction to remove swirls I suggest lots of research.

Go to detailedimage.com and do some research in the waxing/polishing section. A sealant is going to give you longevity, a nice shine and protection while a carnubra (spelling) is going to give you high luster and depth to the paint though it wont last as long as a sealant will.

I suggest you see what kind of paint surface you are working with and see if you need to clay bar the surface as well.

Greg for Detailed Image can help you in the "Ask a professional detailer" thread.

I hope I helped.

Save yourself a lot of time. Go to the Maguire's forum and/or give 'em a call. If you tell 'em the condition of your car, what you want to accomplish and how much time you want to spend, they tell you what you need to do. They really do make it easy and their products are pretty good. They even give car care seminars around the country that are extremely informative. I'm sure if you call they can tell you if there is one in your area.
