Default cleaning brake dust every week!

Been having to clean my rims almost every week and its getting annoying. I heard some ppl changed their pads. I forgot what they were called tho. hawk pads or something. Does any1 have them and does it really reduce brake dust? How much do they cost? and is it easy to install? never changed brake pads b4

Hawk Brake pads are the way to go. No more dust. You will not believe it.

Get them at www.tirerack.com for $70 shipped. Here is a step by step to change them.

Ensure you bed them in properly or they will squeak afterwards.

Ditto! ZChickz.com has some terrific instructions for pads and other mods. Those girlz love their "Z's".

Another good source for pads is raceshopper.com $65 shipped.

Not knowing, I would go to raceshopper.com. Go to Hawk pads and complete/submit the request form. Race Shopper is very responsive. They also have phone number available and have always proven extremely helpful. They are very selective in the brands of pads they market.

Every week? Shoot, I'm wiping mine off with "Slick Stuff" almost every day. I'd be doing it 4 times a day without "Slick Stuff". It repells dirt and brake dust quite well.

I plan on changing my pads soon.... I'm so ****** about my car and it's getting old to me quick...lol

I changed my pads to the Hawk's for exactly that reason. I couldn't be happier with them. It's been ~3 weeks since I washed my car/rims and they still look clean. I posed a how-to with a little more detailed instruction and photos at:

How to change pads

It's incredibly simple and the best thing I've done for the car so far.
