DF for the paint, softest I have ever seen. Leo is making a great micro fiber applicator mit that has 4 usable sides, and a new micro fiber wash mit.

I don't know about how the quality compares, but they have large packs of microfiber towels at costco for pretty cheap.

After trying out all the towels from properautocare.com and autotopia-carcare.com I have to say that the concourse towel from www.dftowel.com is without a doubt the best on the market. They are very soft and will not scratch your paint.

My Z is 4 months old and has ZERO swirls or micro scratches.

Big Blue is awesome for drying the car. They key to avoiding swirls and scratches is to blot out the water instead of wiping the car down. This thing is so absorbent that all you need to do is lay the towel out flat in sections are it will absorb all the water in seconds.

I use the California Car Blade and it cuts drying time down significantly. You ZIP off the water and the drying part (with a towel) takes only 5-10 minutes.

I went to a hand car wash last winter since it was impossible to wash my car in NJ, and they scratched the hell out of the car with either the california blade or their drying cloths.

I think it was the california blade since the scratches were uniform and straight. It's a great product to own, just be careful you don't have anything on the actual blade before you use it i guess.

I have the California blade, i still have to use a T-shirt along with it tho b/c it leaves alot of excess on bottom of windows, and near all the rubber areas... What do you use with your blade Bonz?

The blade isn't going to do all of the drying by any means. It only gets off the big drops. There are a lot of areas of the car that the blade just won't get to.

I use a MF waffle-weave towel I got from Autopia after I use the blade.

Meguiars Microfibers are awesome. They take off the wax so easy. I wish I had money to buy a **** load. They seem to not leave anything behind when taking wax off. They also hold alot of wax when taking off so you don't have to use 4 or 5 towels to do a wax job.

DF towels are awesome for wax removal. You only use one (not 4 or 5).

For drying you can use either the one I linked above or the Big Blue towel is also very good I'm told.

Use a detailer spray after you dry the car as it will remove water streaks easily and quicly...
