FS: GFORCE Racing Helmet Never Used
$75 plus shipping!!
Up for sale is my Gforce racing helmet. I was going to wear this at the racetrack, but I never made it with this helmet.
I paid $150 plus shipping about 2 months ago.
I am in the Army and received orders to move to Ft Drum so I needed to get rid of the Z and ended up trading it in for a 4X4 SUV.

Nice price, and thank you for serving our country.
Potential buyers should know this is an "M" helmet, or for motorcycle use. Most groups DO allow the M helmet, but I have seen a few that do not.

Thanks Scott for the comment, it would be great to let us know which places DO NOT allow the wear of this helmet. I have never heard of such..not saying your wrong...Just would like to give potential buyers as much info as possible so they don't buy the wrong helmet.
Well there's either M or S helmets... I know that NASA only allows Snell SA2000. Here's the latest info from the NASA Rulebook:
15.17.3 Helmet
All drivers are required to wear an approved helmet while on track. Helmets must be approved by Snell and carry a sticker of Snell 2000 ( SA2000) or better*. Ratings other than that of “SA” (Special Application), i.e. “M1995, M2000”, are not acceptable. *Alternatively, helmets with an FIA certification of 8860-2004, or an SFI label showing the rating of 31.1A, 31.2A, or 31.1/2005 are acceptable. It is strongly recommended that any helmet sustaining any substantial impact be replaced.
Hope that helps...

Note, some SA required groups will allow a "M" helmet on a case by case basis as well, most autocrossing groups allow "M" class helmets if I'm not mistaken also. This helmet is a good value, nonetheless.

I recently purchased an SA rated helmet, but I've run HPDEs and Time Trials w/ NASA Florida in the past (April 2009 was my last event) w/ an M2000 rated helmet.
I think the section you're quoting is specific to participation in "race group sessions".

Sorry to hear about you moving to Fort Drum. I spent my term up there. Well I sent it deployed because thats what everyone on Drum does but I spent a few winters there. I was in Bco 2-14. What about you? Thanks for serving buddy and good luck with your sale!!
You know it's funny..I am from Syracuse....I joined the Army partly because I wanted to get heck out of the snow for a while...at least I have family up there and they are happy I coming home for a while.
