I figured you would post about this. I am happy to see the little bald drag radials helped. You need to do a nice burnout with those to really make them sticky though. I think you might have short changed yourself by not holding the burnout longer.
BTW I would definitely keep an eye on total combo of tire and rim weight. That also makes a big difference. I lost time when I went back to my 40lb tire and rim combo from my nice and light 32lb setup. Not relevant much in brackets but still a difference.

hey Zen.. yes that is very true. I didn't even use the brakes in the water box if you can believe it, the car was in the water for about 2 maybe 3 seconds until it got a bit of traction and launched me forward.
BUT my 26" MT ETs have just arrived so tomorrow, I will make sure to warm them up well USING the brakes to make sure! I'll be posting the results back here.
Now I gotta go figure out what fuse to pull out. That's needed to power brake without losing power.
