I'll have to look at the time slip to see what the WRX ran -- if I remember correctly, I think he ran a 14.8. Remember, this is Colorado elevation we're talking about here.

Is that an STI or just trying to look like one? I would hope they would be a lot faster. It's got the right wheels, spoiler and hood scoop, but it does have fog lights. Anyone know?

I think the reason why he looked like he was sleeping at the light was that he was concentrating so hard on trying to get his launch JUST right. Although people say that you just rev up a WRX and sump the cluch, this is not actually true. You rev up to 5K, and then slip out the clutch, while feathering the throttle. Too much slip, and you roast your cluch, too little slip, and you bog.....
Launching these cars is not as easy as it looks...Requires lots of practice and concentration to find the sweet spot...

Ok, a win is a win, but from the looks of it if it had been an equal launch he would have beat you. Maybe he was just being cocky and gave you a headstart, looked like he was pulling fast!
But still a good kill

However, my friend that went with me has a WRX with Exhaust and Intake. He blew the doors off me. His best run of the day was 13.88 which is freakin' awesome at 4900 feet elevation.
