Default 2nd time at ORP please examine my slips

Well i went out to ORP for the second time this year last night and was somewhat please but yet somewhat dissapointed. I still cannot get my launch down better than a 2.3 consistantly. However i did improve alot on the big end by breaking into the 100mph club, wich is a 2 second improvement over my fist time a few weeks ago.

60 ....... 2.385 -- 2.356 -- 2.398
330 ...... 6.63 -- 6.252 -- 6.313
1/8 ...... 9.959 -- 9.456 -- 9.499
mph ... 74.33 -- 77.33 -- 77.09
1000 .. 12.696 -- 12.13 -- 12.168
1/4 .... 14.991 --14.386 --14.418
mph ... 98.41 --100.14 -- 100.13
I missed 2nd in the first run

Please examine my slips and let me know what you guys think. I would also like to let you know that i am leaking oil and may have blown a head gasket but have yet to do a comression test, only time will tell. I do not think that it effected my times that much because i am happy with everything but my launch, i am picking up 23 mph on the big end and am trapping at a decent speed for my 1/4 mile time. Traction and my 60ft time need alot of improvement.

Let me know what you guys think

It would be easier to read time slips rather than numbers.

Your 60-foot times are killing your ET. Whatever technique you are using, try something else. 2.3X 60-foot times are consistent. Not good but consistent. It shows that you are using some technique over and over. Thats good.

Just keep practicing, your 60ft needs improvement. It took me a few trips to the track before i had a repectable 60ft. good luck!!!

I go to IRP on occaision and they dont prep that track for **** on tuesday nights. Basically you need to learn to launch your vehicle. I am fairly consistant at 14.1 @99 in my G35 with 19"s

i also have heard that irp is slower than most tracks, i might head up to muncie next time. I consistantly run 2.1 and 2.15 on the street with my g-meter.

if you want to really hook up go to thursday nights where they actually lay the vht down. U know its sticky when you pull up and your front tires keep sticking as you stage.

next time ur out there look for me, I have a black supercharged G35 with gold work wheels

oh by the way that 14.1 @ 99 was na lol

Those 60' times look about like my time slip the first time I went to the strip.

Except we were having sand storms / dust devils and pretty much no one could get any traction due to sand on the track...

Just go back and try again, that's all you can do man.

You are gaining about 23ish mph on the last 1/8th which is good, but with all those mods, a high trap can be seen. I ran my 13.9 with a 2.3 60' and my only mods were a pop charger, 5/16 spacer, and tp's. I cant wait to go again Saturday.

I agree with Davidv as well. You are consistent with your 60', which is good, but a different method should be considered. But only if the track is prepped good. If its a crappy prepped track, Im just not sure what you can do with street tires.
