I was shifting from 3rd to 4th there, I wonder if that would help me much, I'll give it a try next time

I tried not shifting. Finished the 1/4 at 13.6@102 without shiftin to 4th and a 2.0 60'
Pretty much you shift at the last moment. Im gonna try shiftin a bit earlier on 2-3 and 3-4 to see if I can get better times. I think the power drops a bit after 7k anway.

90 degrees and 90 percent humidity are not the best of circumstances. In the fall when the weather is more reasonable, you are looking at 13.77 seconds no problem. You can do 2.0 seconds on street tires. I know you can.

Some 2007 and rev-up drivers can finish ¼ mile at the top of third gear. It depends on how mush distance you can get out of first gear.

yeah I'm sure you heard in the video, the wheels were spinning in 1st through the entire gear. I went on the street today and let the clutch slip from 3500rpm and it was a world of difference from my launches at the track. I'm going to hit 13.65 next time or I'm not going home.

My bad...you're right it was the 3rd to 4th shift. Were you at redline on all your shifts, especially the 3-4 shift. It will be interesting to see if you can finish in 3rd and what it does for your et...

I remember finishing in 3rd one run but the car wasn't getting any faster, I was about to bounce off the limiter most likely, and the hr loses some of it's power right before the end of the gear. DavidV is right, if I can get more out of the launch in 1st especially, I could finish at the peak of the powerband in 3rd, I'll try it soon, maybe this wednesday

Hopefully you can get your 60 down to 2.0 with some practice and a set of D/R's. I'll be at Bradenton tomorrow with a 8 sec Z and getting the info on the private track rental. The guys that I race with have gotten their launches down pretty good, it just takes practice.

how far is that track from west palm? If it's not too far, I could probably round up 5-6 z's and evo's for a private track day if we plan it

I disagree with DavidV on the loss of .2 from a loss of .1 in your 60'.

I had read countless times you'd pull .15 off, but what I saw when I sat my slips side by side was that for ever .1 I took off my 60', I took .1 off my 330', and from that point the splits were identical, meaning .1 off the ET. The car is consistent after the launch for me, and it makes sense in my head since I'm just getting the car to move further in 1st gear.

I'll post my new slips whenever I find them, but with no gas light on (low fuel though still), spare in, amp rack, amp, wiring, and capacitor in the car (disconnected to run) I was pulling <2.0 60's and was consistantly running low 13.6 mid 13.5 times for 7-8 runs in a row. This is in 86 (decreasing to 84) degree weather and about 90% humidity. I'll get a 13.4 once I get some temps below 75 to play with.

Your launch should feel slow, your clutch slip should feel like it takes forever, and you should have VERY minimal spin, with no spin no LSD is needed, not to mention Viscous has little to no benefit before tire spin is encountered, and if it activates, you likely already lost your tires to spin.

Probably 2-2 1/2 hours depending on how fast you drive.Here's Bradentons address : 21000 E State Road 64 Bradenton,Florida 34212.
The max amount of cars that can race are 50. We're trying to make it just for Z's and G's. As soon as I get mote info I'll post it.

Depending on the weekend I *may* be interested. There are a lot of birthdays in October for me though (best friend gf, mom, sister, etc etc. )

I put in the weather stats for Lusaka, Zambia, and came up with 86.5% relative horsepower , i always knew we lost a lot of power up here but damn that's alot, does it apply to F/I cars as well?

Typically FI cars boost relative to atmostpheric pressure, losses are typically lower, however this is not *always* the case.

I think my wheels spinning is my main problem, you can hear them spinning until 2nd gear shift. I'm also way to excited, I have the clutch at the point just before it engages and pulls the car forward and I think I'm so excited I'm letting it out too quick when the light turns green which is causing the wheelspin..... I need to go again, maybe this wednesday
