Sure it will. Last time I checked VeeTec ran a 13.3 @ 103mph bone stock down to the tires with a 1.95 60ft and a sticking clutch pedal. Give the man DR's and you'll see high 12's.

Will it be common?
No.

He had a Nismo exhaust, that's it. It will take minor mods for your average driver to run 12's with the 07. The better drivers will run high 12's just with sticky rubber.

An 07 could run 12's without nitrous or forced induction. If others are running 13.3-13.5's on a bone stock car, why couldn't a car with a set of 3.9 gears and some stickier tires pull it off? I don't see any reason that couldn't happen at a good track with favorable weather.

Will I be able to run 12's here in Phoenix? Probably not. Could it happen at a better track? Yes.

It seems like a realistic goal to see a 07 to run high 12's with bolt-ons and slicks. Don't know what the big fuss is all about.

but whats with the 3.9 gears... this has to be done BONE STOCK with the expection of the drag rad's.. im sure by looking what has already been posted with 3.9 this would be achived.. just not stock..

I could do it here with some more practice, cooler weather, DR's, a prepped track, and the clincher: a clutch that held up to a high rpm launch (mine doesn't ). Ran a 13.7 first time out with a crappy track prep and 2.15 60 ft, with a nice stench of burnt clutch every pass.

Oh well, I'll let VeeTec do it, I couldn't hold out and leave my car stock.

VeeTec did the 13.3 in ~2000DA IIRC. From the sounds of it he runs at a decently prepped track and pulls respectable 60ft times on street tires. I bet you could see him dip into a 1.6-1.7 on DR's and run a 12.9 pretty easily.

They'll run 12's with bolt ons fairly easily, especially if you throw in a set of 3.91 gears.
