Default Took my 07 5AT to the track

Took my HR Touring 5AT to the track. Sorry, only two 1/4 miles strips in our poor state, so 1/8 mile only. Just did the simple freebies, removed the spare and jack tools, replaced my battery with an oddessey I had from my previous car, and unbolted the axle back exhaust:

Scanned file size too large like a dork so here:

60': 2.053
1/8 mile ET: 8.78
1/8 mi. MPH: 81.31
65 degree F ambient
39' above sea level

This was in manual mode, and I also disconnected the brake pedal switches, and brake torqued it to 2K RPM and then WOT with alot of wheel spin

Question

Is there something missing from your post? Anything that you would like to add?

That trap is impressive. Even on my best of runs I've barely scratched at 81. If thats something normal to happen in lower temps we should see some 8.4 times pop up here and there and that is promising for the 1/4 times. With that said - you should try launcing at less than full throttle. If you can control that wheel spin you'll easily drop another tenth or two off.

What was your 330' time?

330' was not included on the time slip. Regarding the wheel spin, I picked up some used 25" x 9" Hoosiers and new Weld 15"x8" Draglites. I bought them for the track but did not get to use them b/c the shop did not have the correct lugnuts, so next time I should be able to knock off a few tenths, and I hope to have some other goodies to help out(TBs, and really want the 4.08s)!

Do the AT's lose a little bit up top? Cause I was pulling 13.7 with a 8.9-9.0 1/8th.... I did have clutch issues though.

You at altitude? At sea level in my stock 03' I was pulling 8.8-8.9 runnning 13.7's, you should have pulled more in an HR, and yes the autos generally trap slightly slower.

It was about 1000 DA and it was my first time out with the HR, I only pulled a best of 2.15 60ft (clutch pedal only came half way off the ground each run too). My 1/4 mile traps were always 2-3mph lower than the average HR (I was only doing 100-101). My 1/8th mile traps were always strong (81-82), but something was hurting my last 1/8th (probably the shitty leaking slave Nissan put in squirting fluid all over my clutch).

It isn't. However the track is well below par (no prep, very dirty) and it was my first time out pulling 2.1x 60 ft's all night.

I don't know because a 8.9-9.0 equates to a 13.9-14.0 most of the time so 13.7 is good for that 1/8 run. I have a lightly modded '04 GTO A4 and I averaged 8.9's the last couple times at the track and the best I could muster was a 13.8!!

Your Z probably pulls harder than my GTO.

I never got off the line well. Best of 2.15 60ft sucks, and so does a clutch pedal not coming off the ground (half way at best). I had a decent 1/8th trap (81) but my 1/4 trap sucked for an 07 (101 first time out, best of a 102 at another track). We've got 07's picking up 24-26mph in the back 1/8th.

Well your 2.1 60 ft shows room for much improvement. With a 1.9 60 ft your into the low 13's no problem. Keep practicing and eventually you'll get it.

My bro has the 04 GTO A4 with exhaust no packing in the muffler. I run him in my 03 350z 5at with spacer and exhaust. Gets me by a bumper. My Z runs high 13s.
