On all of the runs I didn't really launch, just eased off the clutch and onto the throttle simultaneously at about 1,000 rpm. Last time I was at the track I dumped the clutch and spun all of first gear.

Not bad but your car has so much more potential. On that 14.0 run if you drop that 2.2 to a 2.0 60 ft you'd have a possible 13.6 run.

His times aren't bad at all, for those of you in the know about AZ, we just don't put out good times unless you are heavily done up, I went to the track a couple weeks ago as well with my gf in the car.

RT: .373
60Ft: 2.185
330: 6.042
1/8: 9.189
MPH: 78.52
1000: 11.893
1/4: 14.163
MPH: 98.90

That is the best time I could pull out of the night, I was on stock tires, test pipes, and headers, as well as the clutch/flywheel.

For a frame of reference most of the GTO's/LS1's at firebird that aren't slicked out or heavily done up are usually putting down low 14's, I only saw an M6 GTO break into 13.9 my first time since I started going to the track when I went to firebird, as well as an E46 M3 pull out his all time best of 13.8.

Hence the reason I was more than impressed seeing Hal put out a 1/4 at speedworld, mind you most tubbed out slicked drag racing muscle cars out there are barely in the 10's if that.

If you work on your launch a lot, your 1/8th will fall dramatically, lowering your ET. Its not the backhalf thats killing your times (making it in ~4.8 seconds, thats about the same as I am (13.2-8.5 = 4.7ish). I trap the 1/8th a bit higher, a lot of things could cause that, but your car is running fine, just work on shifting faster 1-2 and 2-3, and get out of the hole .1-.2 quicker and you'll be well into the 13's. Great times considering the location.

I probably will be soon, want to see what she can do with the gears now but gotta get a lot of stuff straightened out before I can get back out there, I also think I may be consuming, so I just need to get some time to check her out.

I ran a 13.9 @ 101 2.1 60' in 98 degree heat with similar mods in an 03 base about a year and half ago. Its a good starting point, but definitely work on the tire pressure. Tires are the most important thing besides weight, so look into buying a set of cheap used DR's and you'll find yourself well into the 13's
