i hear ya, and like i said i am going to work on it and like i said this was the first time out to the track, and no the 19's arent an excuse but 275/35/19 isn't exactly a great tire to take to the track. 3 runs and pulled 2.2 twice and 2.3 once, next time i know i will hit 2.0's i was just rolling out basically at 1k and then stomping it was just to get an baseline to see if it would hook then it started raining, trust me i was pissed, i wanted few more runs to really try and launch it but wasn't happening. i plan next time to feather the clutch out from 2500 rpm and start there. the slicks won't be on till next season, this wednesday is the last test and tune for the year here. and next year will have lotts more power . I have spray from my old car that i thought about throwing to it, but really want to turbo it. just trying to raise the funds now.

I'm glad you have the desire to continue/start drag racing. BTW, I wouldn't expect too much this early on (e.g., pulling a 2.0s short time). Just keep working at it. Practice, practice, practice. Get the feel for the car, the conditions, and the track prep. Soon enough, you'll be able to get a better grasp at how outside variables affect your E.T. and trap.

yeah those kind of things are def. gonna matter, as the night went on it started cooling down and i was pulling more mph every time i went. also it was street night and on street night they don't prep the track, can't wait to get out there again.

Yup, keep practicing. The 273/35/19 isn't your problem, as many guys have made 1.9s 60's with stock 245s.

When I had my 19's on last year it added a tenth to my time and I was still pulling the same 2.0 60's I did on my stock wheels.

if i had the stock wheels and tires i would def. run them, i would rather them than my 19's, way more sidewall which is gonna help you at the track, not concerned with the width of the tires its the 35 series that don't help, going back wednesday can't wait.
