Yes, FD = RX7 (3rd gen). I believe you can run them without spacers but it'll look sunken in.

Ok, I appreciate that. I may be putting my hands on a set if we can confirm they fit over the brembos.

I have a set of fd's with MT DR's.. I used a 5 mm spacer to clear.. There is and I quote djamps "a credit card can barely fit".

Seriously the space is so thin between the barrel n brake that a credit card can jus slide thru...

But 5 mm is the minimum... They fit great n have had no issues Wat so ever...

Just pick up 2 FD wheels for about $150 shipped from ebay. They are both the stronger reinforced ones. Also pick up a pair of 10mm spacers as I read it will nicks the Brembo calibers or very close to. Look up on ebay...there are still a few of them left.

Ok great, The S2000 wheels Im using now with 30mm spacers are very close to the caliper as you describe with the FD. So I can imagine is should be close to the same. Thanks for the info on the spacer, its what I wanted to know..

Cool, Im going to be looking them up. I have the 255 50 16 MT DR and they seem to be better fitting for a set of 8 in wheels. The S2000 wheels I have are 7 1/2.

I have the same dr's but sometimes I look at them n think they're too skinny.. Well skinny or not, first time out on em last Sunday I snapped an axle....

Jus picked up a set of DSS level 5's, n gonna be easy on the launch....

I think this set up seems to be the only thing going.. I'm interested in a 16" drag wheel, something like the prostars... I'm sure someone has tried to get the off set right n come up with nothing....

You have a 6MT? You should be running slicks to protect your axles (+ a little extra grab)... DR's are for automatics.

I swapped to the MT ET Streets Bias ply from the MT ET Radial after breaking a DSS Pro axle. The bias ply softens the launch just enough to save your axles. As others have said , radials are better suited for automatics.

Yep 6 mt, dam I didn't do my homework...

I thought it was the other way that slicks would definitely break an axle...

Any help with the correct fitment , size , links to drag slicks would be appreciated...

I'm running 16 x 8"fd wheels... I got these from summit racing, but I'm open to suggestions....

Weld dose not make a 16" dia Prostar anymore.

On an 8" wide Wheel, you will need a 5.50 Back Spacing

I kno I looked... I was thinking about a wheel similar to them in 16"that will clear Brembos... I don't necessarily need an 8"wide wheel.. I need a drag wheel that will fit over Brembos... I remember reading that Weld made a wheel but yes I recall it was discontinued.... Any other options?

As for ur link, I didn't go thru the whole thing but I remember it from a while ago...

Edit: jus went thru it n yes it clearly stated that et street are proper according to u n mt...

I haven't searched much seeing how this was the first season I got into drag with this car....

Ur thread says that these tires are better for 6 mt according to Mickey Thompson....

I'll go back n read more tho after posting this...

Hmm if I said DR's were better for 6MT in another thread then I ****ed up, sorry about that...

I'm running 26x11 ET Streets on the FD wheels, zero spin at the track. Just make sure you get them nice and hot and let some air out to about 15psi. 1st gear barely gets them to start smoking and if they aren't hot the car fishtails a bit at high speeds one I started lighting them up with 2nd gear and get some real smoke they grip like a dream.

My ET Streets hold pressure Fine, car sat for 2 months on them, I did not loose any Air, not even 1/2 lb. I heard lots of storys that they don't hold air well without tubes, not true in my case anyway....
