Drag set up advice needed for my Z
Yes, FD = RX7 (3rd gen). I believe you can run them without spacers but it'll look sunken in.

I have a set of fd's with MT DR's.. I used a 5 mm spacer to clear.. There is and I quote djamps "a credit card can barely fit".
Seriously the space is so thin between the barrel n brake that a credit card can jus slide thru...
But 5 mm is the minimum... They fit great n have had no issues Wat so ever...

Just pick up 2 FD wheels for about $150 shipped from ebay. They are both the stronger reinforced ones. Also pick up a pair of 10mm spacers as I read it will nicks the Brembo calibers or very close to. Look up on ebay...there are still a few of them left.

Cool, Im going to be looking them up. I have the 255 50 16 MT DR and they seem to be better fitting for a set of 8 in wheels. The S2000 wheels I have are 7 1/2.

Jus picked up a set of DSS level 5's, n gonna be easy on the launch....
I think this set up seems to be the only thing going.. I'm interested in a 16" drag wheel, something like the prostars... I'm sure someone has tried to get the off set right n come up with nothing....
I have the same dr's but sometimes I look at them n think they're too skinny.. Well skinny or not, first time out on em last Sunday I snapped an axle....

I thought it was the other way that slicks would definitely break an axle...
Any help with the correct fitment , size , links to drag slicks would be appreciated...
I'm running 16 x 8"fd wheels... I got these from summit racing, but I'm open to suggestions....

Weld dose not make a 16" dia Prostar anymore.
On an 8" wide Wheel, you will need a 5.50 Back Spacing

Hmm if I said DR's were better for 6MT in another thread then I ****ed up, sorry about that...
I'm running 26x11 ET Streets on the FD wheels, zero spin at the track. Just make sure you get them nice and hot and let some air out to about 15psi. 1st gear barely gets them to start smoking and if they aren't hot the car fishtails a bit at high speeds
one I started lighting them up with 2nd gear and get some real smoke they grip like a dream.

These tires are what Im running, and yea I kno I was supposed to get a good heat up outta them especially for the first run on them..I smoked em up pretty good according to the track guys. Unfortunately I dont feel I heated them up enough, and would of liked to go a little harder but these guys always seem like theyre in a rush and wanna get u goin down the track...
Are these the right tires? Or should I switch em up to urs... I prefer not to break axles, and wont be swapping to the DSS until next season after Im built n turn up the boost...
I plan on goin back to the track next sunday on a oem axle I jus received....
Edit:
Jus checked on ur tires from Summit, didnt find 26 x 11, it was 11.5 is this the same one? Funny thing is I think I ordered those first and the next day or so I checked on the order from my fon n saw tube required and thought O **** I ordered the wrong tire, I called summit and they switched it to the Radial....
