The slicks looked skinny, maybe didn't get them hot enough either. It's tough with a manual to get them spinning fast enough. At 110 MPH an 11 is possible but not a no-brainer (as I've discovered). It takes a lot of traction to squeeze out an 11-second timeslip at 110.

They get hot enough..I just had to experiment with the air pressure and launch to get the 1.79 60ft..I know I can pull 1.5-1.6 60ft's...An 11 is in my future!!A weird thing I found is that I am now Fully into 5th gear at the finish line with the slicks on the car as before I just Barely hit the need to go to 5th..

Bolting slicks up to a stock rear end can easily result in broken parts. I have seen it happen many times. I have been going to the strip for over two years now, maybe not the experience you have, but none the less I would not be bolting slicks up to my stock rear.
While everyone else will disagree with you here, I have to say I know what you mean to some extent. A combination of high traction and a little slippage is the same as if you slipped your clutch to keep the revs up. I've always said on bikes I could run nearly the same quarter mile times in the wet as in the dry. Instead of slipping the clutch and keeping the front wheel at zero to a few inches off the ground I'd use wheelspin and throttle in place of clutch slipping.

If you have to shift earlier than you did before you need a taller slick. If you can squeeze a tall enough tire under there to avoid a shift to 5th that's the way to go. If not, at least go to a height equal to what you had before. A taller tire will get you out of the hole quicker without spinning (like a change in gearing). If you like the way that 1.79 felt, get a wider, taller slick. You won't believe the difference between a 1.79 and a 1.69 or lower. Like you said - you just know when you've done it right.

Another side note.. After running consistent 2.2 60's and spinning everytime i shifted into second gear, I decided to try a hard launch but shift a little quicker to avoid the spin, still pulled a 2.2 60' I really think I need new tires to see 2.1's or 2.0's

Get to a different track where the run more street cars and less trailer queens.

I was able to pull consistant 2.0 60' times on my STOCK RE040s....

You're right about the traction with lots of rubber on the track...street rubber trying to get traction on leftover race rubber doesn't work to well.
