Default Just got a recall notice from Nissan....

about

"fuel filler hose may crack and result in fuel leakage from the hose while refueling. If an ignition source is present, a fire could occur. In addition, fuel vapor hoses may crack and cuase the malfunction indicator lamp to come on."

That's all the letter said. Don't know if this is new to you guys. The recall affect 2003-2004 vehicles.

Don't know about you guys, but after reading the above instruction, I am not sure I am eager to have the dealer do this on my car.

I got mine too. I'm a little hesitant to get this done. They probably have to pull out a fair bit of the interior (leading to creaks / cracks etc.)

On the flip side, its probably better than having the fuel filler hose spew gas all over my shoes next time I fill up.

I believe there is a thread already posted on this topic. Sorry I don't have the link, but in that thread I believe there is a link to what they have to do. I think involved mainly things outside/underneath the car, not so much interior stuff.

Got my notice today. Will bring it into the dealership end of April probably. Like someone here mentioned, I dislike going to the dealership.

Last time I was there to get the clicking noise in the rear axle TSB done, they charge me $80 bucks because I had an aftermarket exhaust which they had to take off to get the TSB done. They told me if I had the OEM exhaust, since the OEM was only a pipe going down the left side, they could have done the TSB without taking the stock exhaust off.

So you can imagine that I might have another $80 charge if the recall needs to take the exhaust off...
