Last time I did a corner weight in May 2011 , it was ;
50.1%cross / 50.8%left - 49.2%right - 54.4%front - 45.6%rear
total 3501 Lbs w/ 3/4 tank of gas + driver.

this with an empty trunk down to the frame*no plastic tool or spare* from my rear crossbar , relocated oem battery to the rear.

Oh yeah... that's a light car.
Your power to weight ratio is good.

I think the Z stock is close to 50/50 F/R weight, but its really hard to keep. So much stuff to take out of the rear compared to the front :P

I scooped up the bits removed of the sound deadening. This accounts for about 1/3 of under the drivers seat. and..... 1 whole pound! About 17.5ounces. I figure you can assume around 5-6 lbs for the front. The rear has a lot, probably close to 10lbs, then above the fuel pump area has another 2lbs or so. So in total you have about 20lbs throughout the car.

On the topic, I picked up a small 2in wire wheel to see how it would do. Not great on the parts with lots of tar, but the bits that were already cleared that have residue, it kicks ***. Brings it right down to the metal like it was never there.

Heres a shot of it. You can see on the right on the tunnel I used the wire wheel between the two spots with crap on it still. When I am done Ill spray it with OEM silver paint and it will look just like new.

I had my 240sx on a scale the other day and it was 3100 with no weight reduction, empty tank, and big fat me in it. (245lbs)(I carry it well, dont trip)
Now do some weight reduction and a tuned up sr20 among others and then pow right in the kisser.

Haha no my 240 has a stock ka w/auto trans. Lol (Beater)
My Z makes 270whp tho. But a 240 would obviously be easier to make very fast. A 350z takes a lot more effort imo.

Still have to get speakers out of doors with the dyamatting. Some wiring from the car, and what will be the biggest PITA of all the sound deadening tar.
12.2 pounds shaved off today in the form of swapping out the OEM cats for MD ART pipes.

Nice to see these numbers keep stacking up over the winter.
I technically started taking off the sound deadening as well with a hammer and chisel, works pretty well, but leaves residue. I don't want to weigh it til I get it all in the bag.
